Empress Guo, Empress Xia, Empress Xie

​Empress Xing (Xing Shi), a Chinese empress of the Song dynasty, was married to Emperor Gaozong of Song. Their marriage took place in 1115 when Xing was eight years old.

Painted by Xiang Li in watercolour and crushed gemstone pigment on silk, from The Chinese Empresses — a twelve-year series of 217 portraits.
