About the empresses:
Consort Dugu, formally Empress Zhenyi, was a favored concubine of Emperor Daizong during China's Tang Dynasty. Renowned for her beauty, she held significant influence within the palace, leading Emperor Daizong to forgo appointing an empress during her lifetime. She bore him two children: Li Jiong, Prince of Han, and Princess Huayang. After her death, Emperor Daizong posthumously honored her as empress and arranged for her burial near his own future tomb.
Consort Shen (personal name unknown; disappeared 759), formally Empress Ruizhen, was a consort of Emperor Daizong when he was Prince of Guangping.
